JESSE LEON SINGLETON
1928-2008
Jesse Singleton, age 79 of Pensacola, died Monday, March 3, 2008 in a local hospital. Mr. Singleton was a native of Demopolis, AL but had been a resident of Pensacola since 1972. Jesse was a member of the Myrtle Grove Masonic Lodge #352 F&AM and the Pensacola Order of the Eastern Star #253. He was retired as Vice President of McNaughton Distributors and was retired from the U.S.A.F. with 20 years service.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Rita Singleton; four sons, Dr. Jesse L. Singleton Jr. M.D., Michael R. Singleton, Patrick Singleton and Lee Singleton; stepson, James Griffin; two daughters, Patti Sue McCool and Katie Singleton; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a special sister-in-law, Elaine Singleton; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral service will be 9:15 a.m., Friday, March 7, 2008 at FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 100 Beverly Pkwy with the Rev. Drayton Smith officiating.
Interment will follow in Barrancas National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Faith Chapel from 8:15 a.m. until service time on Friday.
